You must take these courses in order.  Digital Information Technology, Game & Simulation Foundations, Game & Simulation Design, and Game & Design Programming.
Are you a gamer? Do you enjoy playing video games or coding? Does the idea of creating and designing your own virtual world excite you? If so, this is the course for you! You will  learn about designing video games, various gaming software and hardware, different gaming platforms, technical skills needed, how to troubleshoot; Internet safety techniques, and the history of gaming. And to top it all off, you’ll even have the opportunity to create your very own plan for a 2D video game! Turn your hobby into a potential career and go from simply being a player in a virtual world to actually creating one.
HARDWARE & SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS: This course requires the use of free software that must be downloaded to your computer.  Therefore, in order to take this course, you need a desktop or laptop computer, because the required software will not run on a tablet or iPad.

PLEASE NOTE:  This course is segment one of a two segment course.  If you are taking this for your online course requirement, you must complete BOTH segments to meet the requirement.  Please sign up for segment two AFTER you complete segment one.
