This is a High School two segment course.  Please start here with segment 1.

The purpose of this course is to enable students to develop basic musicianship and acquire skills in guitar performance. At the conclusion of this course, students will be able to interpret all forms of guitar notation and perform melodies and chord progressions with accuracy, proper technique and expression! Content will include musical proficiency, learning to read music, exploring various playing styles, and composition/arranging. Students will analyze music, gain knowledge of the guitar and its history, and make connections between music and other subject areas. Concert participation at this level of the course is optional but highly recommended!
